World Circular Economy Forum goes to Brussels in spring 2024
In spring 2024 WCEF, the leading circular economy event, will take place in Brussels, Belgium.
The next World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF), one of the world’s most influential circular economy events, will be organised in Brussels, Belgium. The conference will take place in spring 2024 and the exact dates and topics of the Forum will be revealed later.
This year, WCEF2023 gathered about 1,800 circular economy leaders from government, business, finance, research and civil society in Helsinki, Finland while more than 5,000 people participated online. The Forum was co-organised by the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra and Nordic Innovation, with international partners.
The 2023 conference put nature, youth and finance into the spotlight. Many of the more than 150 speakers emphasised that there are already viable circular solutions out there – now we simply need to scale them up.
At the Forum, it was also revealed that WCEF will deepen its cooperation with the International Resource Panel (IRP), Circle Economy and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). IRP is a global science-policy platform established by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Circle Economy is a leading global impact organisation. UNDP is a UN agency tasked with helping countries sustainably develop and eliminate poverty.
