The impacts of EU circular textile policies on trading partner countries

This session will explore the effects of the EU’s current circular textiles policies on trading partner countries at the production and post-consumer stages of the textiles value chain. Through a discussion, the session aims to validate initial assumptions on the EU policies’ effects on trade flow, employment and policy shortcomings. The session invites participants to further reflect on how to drive the creation of a more inclusive EU circular textiles policy design framework.

Organisers: GIZ, Circle Economy Foundation, Chatham House, European Environmental Bureau and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development
