David Hirschler works at ERI, the largest IT Asset Disposition service provider and recycler of e-waste in the United States. He is responsible for ERI’s internal and external sustainability and circularity initiatives as well as legislative responsibilities covering the gamut of producer responsibility regulations through data protection regulations. In addition, David serves as president of the board of FABSCRAP, a nonprofit organisation focused on the recycling and reuse of commercial textile waste. He has worked in the recycling field for more than 20 years and holds a master’s in urban and environmental policy and planning from Tufts University.
Riku is a dedicated circular economist with a passion for developing business models which are more circular. Throughout his career, Riku has worked with numerous circular economy initiatives, such as circular economy road maps and industry-specific playbooks. Riku's expertise lies in developing circular solutions that drive innovation and growth and at the same time reduce the need for resources. He is especially interested in the nexus between the circular economy and nature. Nature and biodiversity are featuring more and more in the business agendas, and the circular economy is a key delivery mechanism in halting and reversing biodiversity loss.
Michaela Lindström is co-founder of Hailia, a company aimed at enhancing circularity within the fishing industry. When starting the enterprise, she leveraged her robust expertise and experience gained from marketing and project management. Michaela is driven by the opportunity to contribute to the shared mission of creating a future-proof food system: meeting nutritional demands within planetary boundaries. Fearless and infinitely curious, she says "Let's find out" when others say "impossible."
Mayri Tiido is an adult educator with 10+ years’ experience and a circular economy entrepreneur. She's one of the co-founders of Materjalivoog, a marketplace in Estonia for industrial leftovers. In addition, she has researched what competencies young people need to become future leaders in a circular world and is a guest lecturer in different universities in Estonia on sustainability and circular economy topics.

Dukwoo Jun is a distinguished leader in green economic development, with a focus on circular economy initiatives. As the global lead at GGGI, he has spearheaded innovative circular economy investment solutions. Dukwoo’s work in public-private partnerships has launched transformative waste-to-value projects in developing countries, integrating cutting-edge practices such as EV battery recycling, biomass-based plastics, biochar and biohydrogen. Prior to his current tenure, he served at the National Institute of Green Technology of the Republic of Korea as a director and circular economy specialist. His work encompassed steering technical assistance for green R&D and fostering circular approaches, spawning impactful spin-off projects.
Johan Berhin is the founder and designer of the green furniture concept, known from railway stations and airports around the world, such as London King's Cross Station and Hong Kong Airport. He saw the need for more sustainable timber as a furniture producer and became amazed by the many benefits of forestry without clear-cutting, both from a sustainability and an economic viewpoint. He believes this probably has the largest climate potential of any action in Northern Europe.
Martin Pauli works at Arup, an international consultancy and design firm, where he develops circular economy-based business and product strategies for leading companies in the construction industry in Europe and internationally.
Karl Vrancken is responsible for development and implementation of Indaver’s sustainability strategy. He has over 25 years’ experience as an expert in the science-policy interface, working with VITO on waste management, best available techniques and the circular economy. He was the PFAS Commissioner for the Flemish Government, bringing coordination and communication in the per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) crisis in 2021-2022. He has a part-time assignment as associate professor at the bioengineering department at the University of Antwerp, where he teaches sustainable resources management. Karl is member of the Scientific Committee of the European Environment Agency and the International Advisory Board of the Wuppertal Institute for Energy and Environment. Throughout his career he has been building connections between policy, industry and research in the field of sustainable consumption and production.
