While the role of the circular economy in creating value and mitigating environmental challenges is increasingly clear, the full extent of the environmental benefits has not yet been explored. In parallel, the economic rationale of the circular economy in terms of competitiveness, resilience, labour and benefits to workers, and resource independence needs to be highlighted and better understood to position the model as a core strategic opportunity for Europe.
The circular economy offers a gateway to systemic transformation of how we produce and consume and as such, it is one of the key solutions frameworks needed to tackle the triple planetary crisis of climate change, biodiversity loss and waste and pollution. Join this session to learn how the circular economy can simultaneously deliver economic benefits and move the system towards nature-positive outcomes.]
